The primary goal is to start empowering and quipping the young minds of Trinidad and Tobago with essential tools to navigate the complexities of mental health.
I firmly believe that every individual deserves access to vital mental health education.

Information about the Course
Resilience and Well-Being
Resilience is the ability to bounce back from challenges. It is developing mental and emotional strength to manage difficult situations and not get overwhelmed to the point where it impacts functioning.
Resilience is an important aspect of a teen mental health and well-being since it helps them learn to navigate life’s ups and downs. With resilience and its impact on well-being, teens can develop effective and healthy coping skills to manage difficulties, build self-confidence, and feel empowered in their lives.

About the Online Course
This 5-module course is designed for teens ages 11 to 17 who feel overwhelmed, stressed, and frustrated, and they do not know how to manage their emotions and difficult situations.
Parents register their teens to the course, consenting to their participation. On July 25th, 2023, the teens and their parents gain access to the course and the first week's module. Parents are able to access the information and activities to monitor their teen's progress and help support their journey.
It is a self-paced course with lessons, activities, and discussions for the week becoming available each Sunday.
Teens are guided through stories, interactive videos, and worksheets each week as they learn and practice different techniques. At the end of the week, they are invited to engage in a discussion with their fellow classmates on the insights and experiences from the practices.
There will also be one live session for the teens in the middle of the course. This is optional but encouraged since it is a space where the teens can ask questions, go over what they've learned so far, and connect with peers.
There are also two live Q&A sessions for parents, one at the beginning of the course and one at the end. During these live Q&A sessions parents can ask questions on how to maximize the effectiveness of this course and support their teen on this journey.
This course is designed to be engaging and interactive with comic strip style storytelling, interactive videos, and gamified learning. The online course will also remain open a month after the last module so that you and your tean can make sure you've downloaded all of the worksheets and activities.
