This year's theme for World Mental Health Day is, "Mental Health is a Universal Human Right," and this resonates deeply with me. I believe that mental health is a fundamental human right that should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their circumstances.
We all know that taking care of our mental well-being is essential for living a healthy and fulfilling life. Yet, it can be a daunting task to find quality, effective, and affordable mental health services.
Therefore, for 5 days, starting on October 10, 2023, I'm inviting you to embark on a journey of self-discovery, focusing on "becoming your own therapist." I'll be providing free resources to help you explore ways to care for your mental health, especially when it may feel out of reach.
**Please note that these resources are not a substitute for professional guidance.**
My aim is to offer you a starting point—an exploration of mental health and wellness for yourself and your loved ones.
Even when it seems challenging and discouraging, remember that within each of us lies the power of healing and growth, sometimes buried deep but always present.
I hope that the free resources I'll be sharing this week help you gently begin to understand yourself and your strengths, making mental health feel less overwhelming. Together, we can take small steps toward a healthier, happier you ♥ SB

October 10, 2023: Happy World Mental Health Day!
Today, you are invited to fill out a checklist of Self-Care and Well-being items. You are then invited to fill out a simple yes/no checklist to help guide you on whether you might benefit from professional guidance.* Exploring what areas of wellness you excel at and what areas might be lacking is a great starting point in taking care of your mental health. Building that awareness helps know what areas might need more attention to live a more fulfilling life.

Day 2: Digging Deep with Journal Prompts
These journal prompts can serve as valuable tools for self-reflection and personal growth, allowing you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and values more deeply. Take your time with each prompt and write freely, without judgment, to gain a deeper understanding of themselves. And remember, this can be a valuable tool for both teens and adults!

Day 3: Coping Strategies
Adding to your mental health and wellness plan, it's good to have a list of coping strategies you can turn to in difficult moments. This worksheet provides you with a wide range of coping strategies in different categories to choose from. Knowing these coping strategies can help you build a toolbox of techniques that can be employed in various situations to enhance your well-being and manage stress effectively. This can also help with creating an action plan of wellness (which we'll be working on on Day 4!)

Day 4: Goal Setting and Action Plan for Wellness
This worksheet incorporates creating goals for practicing the coping strategies from Day 3 and improving your self-care. It encourages you to to consider your self-assessment and set SMART goals for personal growth and mental health improvement. Goal setting and personal growth are ongoing processes. Regularly review and adjust this goal and action plan as needed to ensure they continue to align with your well-being and self-improvement journey
